Our Family "Pet" continued....

As I mentioned earlier this week we have a "guest" in our home.

I know you're thinking "Oh my Stars!  There's a lizard in your house!!"  You're wrong.  It is in fact a gecko.  Yes, a living and breathing gecko although he's never entertained us with any of his quirky commercials.  He snuck into our home about a year ago when I was keeping Ethan.  No, he isn't gone yet and not for lack of effort...trust me!  That little booger is FAST!
While some might think having a gecko living with them would be a nuisance he's been a bit helpful.  Those tiny black sugar ants suddenly disappeared as well as any other pesky bug.  Don't get me wrong, I would love for our friend to take a speedy exit back to his natural environment.  I am a bit concerned that he's now unable to survive out in the wild since he's so accustomed to being "fed" I'll still take that chance.  So we've come to an understanding that as long as he or she never comes into the bedrooms then we will remain a gecko loving family.

I know it does look just like a normal lizard judging by the first picture but there's a few more that shows off his translucent skin.  Its very creepy.  I'm thankful that Gecko only likes to come out when we aren't home and probably when we're sleeping.

This one was mid-run...notice how he's raised off the wall.  UGH it makes my skin scrawl!!

I'm scared to go near my dining room window because of this!!

Our Family "Pet"

This is a preview to my PSF for the week.  This may or may not be what you think.  The story is interesting and I may even add a fun poll into the mix.

Cloth Diaper Swap

Recently I participated in a cloth diaper swap that I found out about through the weekly #clothdiapers chat on twitter.  It was so much fun to shop for someone else and pass along some of my own favorite products like certain inserts, detergents, etc.  Well, wouldn't you know it that I got my swap package today!  As soon as I picked up the box I could smell the yummy goodness oozing out.  And what was the yummy smell?
Stain remover of course!

The fun didn't stop there.  There was fleece board shorts, of course a super cute pocket diaper, AND some wipes!!

The board shorts

(why its showing sideways is beyond me)

Diaper from WildChildforBabies, yes those are adorable VW Bugs on it!!

(again the sideways is driving me batty)

And last but certainly not least, are the wipes!

I know you're thinking two things right now.  First, that you can't stand the cuteness of it all!  That's okay because I can't either!!  Second, you're thinking you had the best swap partner but I'll have to be the bearer of bad news to tell you that you couldn't be further from the truth because clearly I did!

Thanks Nicole for the awesome diaper package!!
And thanks to Megan for hosting such a fun swap!!

5 Months Old (yesterday)

I just can't believe how fast the time is going by.  Seems like only yesterday I was timing my contractions and now Kylan has become his own little person with the sweetest disposition and silly personality.  I could go on and on how much I adore this kiddo!
For now, he's still only rolling over when he feels like it but prefers it when you just give him that extra little push.

He's not too fond of his swing anymore he tries to roll out the side, thank goodness for seat belts.

He's started regressing in how well he sleeps at night time and wants to wake up for an extra feeding so I've decided to try him out on some solids.  He's not great with the spoon so I've tried to give it to him in  a bottle from now on at bed time for a "dinner bottle".

sweet potato face, isn't he cute?

I have noticed that he doesn't seem to like the exersaucer very much but he LOVES the jumperoo.

(insert adorable jumperoo picture here)

That's where Kylan's life is at this point.  He is attempting to get his fat belly off the floor now with little to no success but it sure is fun to watch.  He's nowhere close to sitting up unassisted or truly being mobile.  He's just loving life laying around and being fully entertained by me the brothers.

Hazelaid

I've been trying not to do any giveaway blogs anymore because I think they are a bit of a waste of time and space here.  Although this one yes this is another one I'm hoping to be able to show some good before and after shots.  First, I'll introduce you to Hazelaid that my friend Lauren told me about since she knows that Kylan suffers from eczema just like her little boy.  Its a special necklace made from hazelwood and it apparently helps in reducing your body's acidity which in turn will help to ease a ton of health issues.  I would give you the list of them but you can read about it all on their sites and see the necklaces also.  I'm hoping to win one from this giveaway since I know for a fact that I'll have to get at least two of them, Kylan and Landon are the ones suffering right now, and winning one would make it that much easier for me.  So this is my plug for not only hazelaid but also to follow Lauren's blog if you're at all interested in hearing about some great new products for you or your baby.

The End And A New Beginning

I've decided that this is going to be my last "Matt" entry.  This is going to go back to a family blog to keep everyone updated on the happenings of our lives.  I'm in the process of starting a new blog specifically for the new life I'm beginning.  It will be a private blog so it will be invitation only, I want to keep it under lock and key.  To be fair, I will give a quick and final update here and then its back to my crazy life with the three little loves of my life.

After trying and trying to work things out and constantly being turned down or disappointed its time to call a spade a spade.  I was finally able to get answers to many, but not all, of my questions and I have a feeling of closure.  God's given me a peace that I can't even begin to describe.  I know that the days, months and years ahead are going to be tough as a single mom to three little boys but I know my God is faithful and will be helping me all along the way.  Matt and I are still on good terms, not exactly friends but friendly.  I have no anger towards him at all...Forgiveness is a wonderful thing.  While I don't trust him as a husband, I know that he loves our kids and wants the best for them just like I do.  I know as long as we keep a united front, are respectful towards one another and continue to make our love for them a priority then everything is going to work out just fine.  Its sad to know that everything will be final and official soon and I'm sure reality of the situation has yet to sink in.  I'm prepared to have to start looking for more work and potentially have to find childcare with the two little guys unless Matt is able to move back closer to us.   It would be wonderful for him to live near by just so he can see the kids and not miss out on so much of their lives but its not my choice anymore.  No matter what happens things will be just fine.

I can't thank you all enough for kind words and prayers over the last year. I cherish each and everyone of you.

My Little Runaway

Landon decided yesterday that he was taking a trip. Apparently all that's needed is Handy Manny and his tool box.

He quickly came back once he found a "treasure"
I never did find out what the "treasure" was but he did get his hands thoroughly washed.
