Waiting For Santa

My sweet SWEET lovey...

Everytime I look at this it melts my heart.

7 Months

I know I missed the the 6 month post but I'm okay with that since I've been a tad busy with dealing with a douche bag life.  But here is a list of my what my handsome 7 month old little boy can do or attempt to do...

We've attempted solids again...FAIL.  He still hates it and I like having easier diapers to clean.

He attempts to sit up on his own...FAIL. He tips right over after about 20-30 seconds, but its cute to watch.

He attempts to crawl but he can't seem to go forward...FAIL.

He's trying to get teeth for 3 months now but has none...FAIL.

He's sleeping through the night.

He's perfectly happy laying on the floor being entertained by a toy near by or a mommy/big brother.

He is at his 6 month check up 16 pounds and 27 inches and hanging in by the 25% just like his brothers.

My sweet and loving little boy has been such a joy to all of our lives since the day he blessed us with his presence.  He adores us just as much as we do him.  We can't imagine our lives without him.
He's such a joy.

To My Future Daughters in Law...

You should just start to thank me now.  I have set the bar amazingly low for you.

These boys are easily tricked into eating and enjoying almost anything I put in front of them.

They think homemade spaghetti sauce takes days to make and a hot dogs and mac n cheese is gourmet.

They love to hear me sing to them even though I'm pretty sure I can hear the glass breaking through out the house.

I'm the most beautiful woman they've ever seen, especially when I've just woken up and not had my coffee.

They think my "circles" are HUGE!! haha!

So, my future daughters in law love, start to count your blessings right now.  No matter what you do these boys are going to worship the ground you walk on just for loving them!  I don't ever want to hear those terrible mother in law stories coming from you!!

Better Late than Never...

We had a blast for Halloween.  I had the boys so I got to enjoy all the sweet silliness.  We wanted to go to a Harvest Festival but Matt got electrocuted that's another story-haha so that didn't happen.  The kids and I went to my dad's house for an AMAZING BBQ and then trick or treating.  They were so excited about their costumes.
Brayden was Woody

Landon was Buzz Light Year

Kylan was Thing One

Yes, he's rocking his goodmama ONE diaper.

How cute are my boys??

I don't even have to ask about this one but I will post a brag picture of the most ADORABLE baby on the planet!

Our Family "Pet" continued....

As I mentioned earlier this week we have a "guest" in our home.

I know you're thinking "Oh my Stars!  There's a lizard in your house!!"  You're wrong.  It is in fact a gecko.  Yes, a living and breathing gecko although he's never entertained us with any of his quirky commercials.  He snuck into our home about a year ago when I was keeping Ethan.  No, he isn't gone yet and not for lack of effort...trust me!  That little booger is FAST!
While some might think having a gecko living with them would be a nuisance he's been a bit helpful.  Those tiny black sugar ants suddenly disappeared as well as any other pesky bug.  Don't get me wrong, I would love for our friend to take a speedy exit back to his natural environment.  I am a bit concerned that he's now unable to survive out in the wild since he's so accustomed to being "fed" I'll still take that chance.  So we've come to an understanding that as long as he or she never comes into the bedrooms then we will remain a gecko loving family.

I know it does look just like a normal lizard judging by the first picture but there's a few more that shows off his translucent skin.  Its very creepy.  I'm thankful that Gecko only likes to come out when we aren't home and probably when we're sleeping.

This one was mid-run...notice how he's raised off the wall.  UGH it makes my skin scrawl!!

I'm scared to go near my dining room window because of this!!

Our Family "Pet"

This is a preview to my PSF for the week.  This may or may not be what you think.  The story is interesting and I may even add a fun poll into the mix.

Cloth Diaper Swap

Recently I participated in a cloth diaper swap that I found out about through the weekly #clothdiapers chat on twitter.  It was so much fun to shop for someone else and pass along some of my own favorite products like certain inserts, detergents, etc.  Well, wouldn't you know it that I got my swap package today!  As soon as I picked up the box I could smell the yummy goodness oozing out.  And what was the yummy smell?
Stain remover of course!

The fun didn't stop there.  There was fleece board shorts, of course a super cute pocket diaper, AND some wipes!!

The board shorts

(why its showing sideways is beyond me)

Diaper from WildChildforBabies, yes those are adorable VW Bugs on it!!

(again the sideways is driving me batty)

And last but certainly not least, are the wipes!

I know you're thinking two things right now.  First, that you can't stand the cuteness of it all!  That's okay because I can't either!!  Second, you're thinking you had the best swap partner but I'll have to be the bearer of bad news to tell you that you couldn't be further from the truth because clearly I did!

Thanks Nicole for the awesome diaper package!!
And thanks to Megan for hosting such a fun swap!!

5 Months Old (yesterday)

I just can't believe how fast the time is going by.  Seems like only yesterday I was timing my contractions and now Kylan has become his own little person with the sweetest disposition and silly personality.  I could go on and on how much I adore this kiddo!
For now, he's still only rolling over when he feels like it but prefers it when you just give him that extra little push.

He's not too fond of his swing anymore he tries to roll out the side, thank goodness for seat belts.

He's started regressing in how well he sleeps at night time and wants to wake up for an extra feeding so I've decided to try him out on some solids.  He's not great with the spoon so I've tried to give it to him in  a bottle from now on at bed time for a "dinner bottle".

sweet potato face, isn't he cute?

I have noticed that he doesn't seem to like the exersaucer very much but he LOVES the jumperoo.

(insert adorable jumperoo picture here)

That's where Kylan's life is at this point.  He is attempting to get his fat belly off the floor now with little to no success but it sure is fun to watch.  He's nowhere close to sitting up unassisted or truly being mobile.  He's just loving life laying around and being fully entertained by me the brothers.

Hazelaid

I've been trying not to do any giveaway blogs anymore because I think they are a bit of a waste of time and space here.  Although this one yes this is another one I'm hoping to be able to show some good before and after shots.  First, I'll introduce you to Hazelaid that my friend Lauren told me about since she knows that Kylan suffers from eczema just like her little boy.  Its a special necklace made from hazelwood and it apparently helps in reducing your body's acidity which in turn will help to ease a ton of health issues.  I would give you the list of them but you can read about it all on their sites and see the necklaces also.  I'm hoping to win one from this giveaway since I know for a fact that I'll have to get at least two of them, Kylan and Landon are the ones suffering right now, and winning one would make it that much easier for me.  So this is my plug for not only hazelaid but also to follow Lauren's blog if you're at all interested in hearing about some great new products for you or your baby.

The End And A New Beginning

I've decided that this is going to be my last "Matt" entry.  This is going to go back to a family blog to keep everyone updated on the happenings of our lives.  I'm in the process of starting a new blog specifically for the new life I'm beginning.  It will be a private blog so it will be invitation only, I want to keep it under lock and key.  To be fair, I will give a quick and final update here and then its back to my crazy life with the three little loves of my life.

After trying and trying to work things out and constantly being turned down or disappointed its time to call a spade a spade.  I was finally able to get answers to many, but not all, of my questions and I have a feeling of closure.  God's given me a peace that I can't even begin to describe.  I know that the days, months and years ahead are going to be tough as a single mom to three little boys but I know my God is faithful and will be helping me all along the way.  Matt and I are still on good terms, not exactly friends but friendly.  I have no anger towards him at all...Forgiveness is a wonderful thing.  While I don't trust him as a husband, I know that he loves our kids and wants the best for them just like I do.  I know as long as we keep a united front, are respectful towards one another and continue to make our love for them a priority then everything is going to work out just fine.  Its sad to know that everything will be final and official soon and I'm sure reality of the situation has yet to sink in.  I'm prepared to have to start looking for more work and potentially have to find childcare with the two little guys unless Matt is able to move back closer to us.   It would be wonderful for him to live near by just so he can see the kids and not miss out on so much of their lives but its not my choice anymore.  No matter what happens things will be just fine.

I can't thank you all enough for kind words and prayers over the last year. I cherish each and everyone of you.

My Little Runaway

Landon decided yesterday that he was taking a trip. Apparently all that's needed is Handy Manny and his tool box.

He quickly came back once he found a "treasure"
I never did find out what the "treasure" was but he did get his hands thoroughly washed.

50 Questions

OK, I'm a thief...I stole this idea from Joanna, Kelli Lauren because it looked like fun. Maybe some of you will steal it too (because I'm nosey like that!). (And yeah, I stole Lauren's opening paragraph as well as the idea because I am incapable of original thought these days!)

Quikie Update on Life

So I haven't updated on the Matt situation lately mainly because there hasn't been much to update. I told him that I don't think its possible to work on our marriage if we're living in separate places. While I'm not completely comfortable with living in the same house with him, I also know that the more that he's away and I'm carrying the load of full time parent on my own is only going to make me resent him even more and I don't like or want to be an angry and bitter person. His response was that he doesn't want to move everything back here just to have to move it all out if things don't work out. *eye roll* I take that as he's expecting things to fail without really trying especially since there isn't a single thing at his apartment that I need or even want!! Except maybe some of my bake ware that he swiped!! In a different turn of events, while I've lived cable free for the last several months he's decided that he can't live without it and ordered cable for MY house where he isn't even living?? Random? Yeah it is. I'm hoping for a holiday family time with him and all the boys to get some time to talk one on one, preferably during nap time when the kids can't hear...So that's my "drama" update.
Now, onto my more normal life updates.....
Brayden is thoroughly enjoying kindergarten and is finally adjusting to the loooong days. I'm loving the times that he's gone. My stress level has gone down tremendously and everyday at 3pm I start to get excited to pick him up. I love that I actually have a chance to miss him!! I miss him terribly but its a sweet reunion that I get to have daily. He's making new friends and is always appreciating his time home with all of us now. And he "conveniently" forgets his lunchbox at school so he an eat lunch room food. I think its gross but he doesn't.
Landon has been a sad little puppy lately. He's missing his buddy and it shows. He's even gone back to taking a mini morning nap since his favorite playmate is gone all day. He's doing well with potty training. School starting was a minor set back, he was peeing left and right for no reason in his undies, but he's getting back to normal. Funny side note of accidents, poor guy had an accident at church on Thursday night so they changed him into the shorts that were in the bag. I'm pleased to announce that my darling 3 year old can still fit comfortably into 3-6 month shorts!!
Kylan, my sweet little surprise, has been rolling himself over a bit more frequently now. Not just because he's pissed that I didn't pick him up quick enough. Belly to back and back to belly...he's growing up way too fast. I've been trying to avoid solids at all costs with him since I didn't see the need to start. He sleeps great but now, even after a very full nursing session, he's smacking is lips and wanting to eat more. This makes me so sad. I didn't want to start any food until he was six months old and not because of food allergies since they don't run in our families and I haven't adjusted my diet one bit and he's been fine but because I really REALLY don't want to clean that poop out of my diapers.
For me, nothing to report. I'm thankful that all the hours at work have picked up and I'm also taking a class this semester. I haven't taken one in well over three years when I was pregnant with Landon. Not only do I get to work on my on walk with my Maker but I also get real grown up conversation and at least a two hour break from all my kiddies one night a week. So needed and necessary!! I'm also helping my MIL to organize her craft room and in return she's teaching me how to sew. I'm pretty psyched about it, I've been wanting to learn for a long time.

PSF ~Good Clean Fun~

After peeing in the bed, not while sleeping just decided to do it, I figured the safest place for Landon to play would be in the bath tub while I organized his room. I hear giggling and talking so I decided to go and check. Experience tells me this could only be a bad thing....

He found his reflection in the faucet and was making faces at himself.

The Face

He realized he was caught being silly.

Just a tad of embarassement.

Before I could even make lunch for him he was passed out on the couch. At least if he pees here its only on the towel. I did cover him up but after the picture.
Oh the fun we have while Brayden is at school all day.
What a sweet, naked, boy.

Kindergarten

Brayden started school this week. Yes, my "baby" is now in kindergarten. I'm torn between crying and shouting out in joy. He has been so excited to start ever since VPK let out in June. He's now attending Denham Oaks Elementary School and is part of the Blazing Dragons team. He has two teachers, one is about to have a baby and start maternity leave and so he's with the substitute until January. He's loved every minute of it so far and even conveniently forgot his lunch box one day so he could buy his lunch the next day. We've been practicing everyday how to get to his classroom so hopefully next week he can walk by himself from the drop off/pick up area. He's a little nervous to try it alone but I'm sure he can do it. *gulp* The best part, for me, of him being in school all day is that I'm getting a chance to miss him. I get very excited come 3 o'clock when its time to start getting the little boys ready to pick him up. Brayden always has a huge grin on his face when he sees its his turn to go home. Hearing the stories of his day and all the excitement, it never gets old.
Posing with his new gear.

He's picked his new 'do for school. He LOVES his mohawk.

Sitting at his desk. He picked the one that faces the board and teacher so he could see better. I like it so the teacher can tell when he's talking and not working.

3 Months Old

I can't believe its already been 3 months since this little man entered my life. He's growing so fast and quickly gaining his own little personality. He's tying desperately to reject the bottle thankfully I'm hip to that game and I'm much more strong willed than he is you may be cute but you don't stand a chance. He's sleeping very well at night and napping like a champ. I'm hoping this will continue, forever, and that he will always be good to his mama. Fat chance I'm sure but here's to hoping. He's not a big fan of the bumbo yet since he doesn't have complete head and neck control but we're practicing to gain more muscle strength. We're nowhere close to starting solids yet, I don't see a reason to since he's gaining weight perfectly plus breastmilk poops are much easier to clean out of the diapers. I'm not sure how big he is now but this time last month he was 11 pounds and 2 ounces and 23 and 1/2 inches long (just imagine bigger now). He trying very hard to roll himself over, he can occasionally make it from tummy to back but he's not consistant with it yet and its usually because he's mad I haven't picked him up yet...whoops.
He's finally starting to enjoy tummy time

I'm thinking he has a future career in the circus or Seaworld, just picture him balancing a ball on the end of his nose.
(not a great angle, his head looks huge and oddly shaped)

And of course the extremely proud brothers.

Reason #286 to Stop Breastfeeding

The day started off perfect. My kids were happy and playing mostly great together. Of course that dreaded part of the day when everyone wants to eat at the same time rolls around. No problem, Kylan can fuss a couple minutes and then I can quickly set the big kids up with lunch. To make it even easier I decided to go the leftovers route. Everyone is seated with food, drinks napkins and anything else that may be needed. Time to give Kylan his much desired attention and food. Only about 15 minutes pass and I hear the uncontrollable giggling coming from the kitchen...I begin to beg Kylan to rush up his nursing session so I can asess the damages.

This is what I was left with. If you can't tell right off the bat what it is, its RICE! Hundreds of grains of rice covering my kitchen. It was a real treat cleaning all that up. Just to ease your mind, I don't just feed my children rice at meal times. I don't run a prison camp here although they may tell you otherwise. They ate all the meat and veggies and left the rice. I don't blame them really but I could've done without it covering my entire kitchen.

Presents

I'm beginning to understand where Matt gets his "buy a present to fix problems" mentality. I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth but if you never acknowledge an issue and resolve it how can things ever change? I'm to the point where I can't make Matt understand and have chalked it up to a male brain block of some sort. Unfortunately I've found the source of this ongoing problem.

For as long as I can remember I've been the "black sheep Baptist" as far as my MIL was concerned. I don't go to her church and I stand up for my faith so that somehow translates into me being bad person who's headed straight to hell, thank God I know better than that. I've forever gotten snide remarks and hate mail sent to Matt from the MIL, she abrasive and cold but she loves her grandchildren so I've always overlooked it. I won't go into specifics for why the MIL gets under my skin other than her trying to play mom and questioning my parenting and discipline choices when I'm RIGHT THERE and then I have to pull out the wench card and actually BE the mom. Instead of recognizing that you're out of line and apologizing I get a surprise visit with gifts for all the boys. Two new Nintendo DS games for Brayden, an annoying singing truck thing for Landon, and the Baby Neptune Play mat for Kylan!! She easily spent over $100, like I said I'm not going to refuse presents for my kids, especially not a kick butt activity mat that I love, but a simple "Sorry" would have been fine too.

Hello, Matt? I'm still waiting for you to take ownership of your choices and make them right. I do enjoy an awesome sushi dinner and laughing at the people while we go redneck bowling but I'd prefer a quiet night of talking...and maybe some take home sushi.

Just for Fun...Same Shirt

11 Weeks Post Baby

Just to clarify, this is NOT a maternity shirt I was just rocking it out at the end of the pregnancy with a tanktop so I didn't show off the dreaded "under belly".
